Gaylor Psychotherapy
Affirming Counseling for Individuals and Couples
JP Gaylor, MA, LMHCA
As a therapist, my passion for human connection and psychology stems from my own journey of self-discovery and healing as a gay man raised in the heart of the South. Grappling with societal expectations and internalized stigma, I found refuge, relief, and resilience in therapy. I learned to embrace authenticity and vulnerability in a world which discourages such acts of defiance.
My therapeutic philosophy is anchored in creating a non-judgmental and supportive environment where people can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of rejection. I aim to empower my clients to embrace their authentic selves and take charge of their mental, emotional, relational, and sexual well-being.
I help people take charge of their mental health, improve their relationships, and have better sex.
What I Specialize In
I offer various services for individuals and couples in Seattle:
Sex Therapy
Sex therapy can support individuals and couples navigating challenges related to desire differences, sexual pain, performance concerns, or communication about intimacy. Treatment focuses on education, emotional awareness, and practical strategies to support healthy sexual functioning.
Individual Therapy
Many people come to therapy feeling disconnected, uncertain, or burdened by emotional pain they can’t shake on their own. Individual therapy provides a safe, collaborative space to heal, gain clarity, and move forward with intention.
Couples Therapy
Couples often seek therapy when arguments feel unresolved, intimacy has shifted, or they’re struggling to feel heard by one another. Therapy helps partners slow down, understand each other more clearly, and move forward as a team.
